Im curious i never modded my install but saved a lot of mods that i grabbed back im the day. Stuff like garrison mods, Sprite fix, Fps fix and run speed mods etc. They have been on a usb pen in my bag for years and years and want to reinstall and play them when i get a new pc later this year.
Yes, you drop the .pack file directly into data
Were the instructions not simple enough? lol
You sound like someone who has a mall-bought samurai sword that you bought on your 17th birthday. You probably read the Hagakure and now believe yourself a modern samurai and hug your waifu pillow every night because she's the only loyal companion you have.
Get a grip broski. CA doesn't give a fig if you play Pharaoh or not.
I mean, they very realistically do. That's how they make their money lel
But yea, as much as I want to rant and rage about this stupidity on CA's part, there's just no point.
I wouldn't mind a game set in the Bronze Age. But I hate this tiny regional ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Total War means Total War, not "Oh hey, look, the tiny region of Egypt is having a tizzy"
Was completely willing to start learning how to Single Entity, too. Eh.
I was trying to play The Last Alliance.
But there is another way and it works!
1. You need to find a file and write the mods there manually.
It's in the Appdata folder, if your system is on C drive, then it's like that: C:/Users/*your username*/AppData/Roaming/The Creative Assembly/Shogun 2/scripts/
Appdata folder is hidden, you should be able to see hidden folders.
2. Copy and paste the preference file there because it has the needed encoding. Or save a txt file there manually with UTF-16 LE encoding.
3. Name the file "user.script.txt". It should say so in the file properties. Not ".txt.txt".
4. Clear the file's content if you copied the properties file, and type this:
mod "Last_Alliance_050_animations.pack";
mod "Last_Alliance_050_campaign_map.pack";
...
mod "Last_Alliance_050_some_other_file.pack";
Replace the "Last_Alliance...pack" with your pack file names.
!!! Mind the semicolons !!! It wouldn't work without them. Or without the quotation marks.
5. Done!
Hope this helps someone because I didn't find it right away, had to try a bit.
