Game no longer works for Linux?
I'm currently using mint, but it doesn't seem to work on any of the distros I've tried. The game just opens, then closes. Every other linux works just fine,

Try it with Proton (experimental) enabled. I'm running Linux Mint and it's flawless.

Yeah, it works fine with proton, but I really didn't want to use proton. If you use the Linux port, you still get the little Java videos when trying to assassinate, which I love, but it sucks bc proton and Windows doesn't get them anymore.

Huh, I still get videos.

I use on Devuan no problems Native build. Didn't have to do anything like tweaking to get it running.

If I were you, I'd try Proton GE, that usually fixes video playback issues in games, as well as other things, at least on Steam Deck anyway.

The native version runs fine. I don't see how proton is a solution.

OP stated that the native client doesn't work for him, so we gave an alternative. How is that a problem?
