(FoTS) Black Bear Infantry vs. Imperial/Shogunate Inf. (or possibly Kihetai)

While comparing stats of black bears to more expensive units that i have, such as imperial infantry and even Kihetai, they seem to have better stats, at lower cost.(?)

not listing stats that are the same for all of them.

Black Bears have:
8 morale
6 melee atk.
4 melee def.
45 Reload
50 Accuracy
7 Ammunition

Cost: 850

-----------------------------------

Imperial Inf. have:
8 morale
6 melee atk.
4 melee def.
55 Reload
45 Accuracy
12 Ammunition

Cost: 960

-------------------------------------

Kihetai have:
10 morale
10 melee atk.
5 melee def.
40 reload
55 accuracy
7 ammunition

Cost: 1070

Do you guys think there is much of a reason to use the more expensive ones here, i dont think that kihetai melee bonus is usefull much, as charging your inf. is not going to work, and if some traditional units get in melee with you, you are pretty much dead (although might bide more time with that morale it has and gives to nearby frendlies). If were to use modern supply corps retainer, you could have 12 ammo on the black bears (or any inf/elite), so not much of a use there. I dont seem to run out of ammo, on battles, so what is the point of the imperial infantry?

iirc kihetai also encourages nearby units.

Plus its easy to buff accuracy, not so much for reload so imperial infantry will mop the floor with blackbears with a good leader, foreign vet, or firing range where they were trained.

you don't need the advanced infantry to beat the AI though, they barely get full armies of line infantry by the time I win usually.

edit, I guess you are talking about avatar battles though, in which case I don't really know.

Yes I was talking about avatar battles, I don't even know how to get the black bears in campaign (or any one other than red bears as tosa)
