Shogun 2: Only Recognizes HD Graphics Card?
Hello everyone:

I know this has probably been asked -alot- throughout the Total War forums. I've tried searching for solutions, but I can't find one that works. Plus this question was asked so many times, I don't know if there is a 'Single' approved solution.

I bought Total War: Shogun 2, Rome 2, and Napoleon. None of the games will recognize my Nvidia card (GTX1070). I have an Intel Core i7 too. The game only recognizes my on board Intel HD graphics card.

Here are the steps I've taken to solve the issue with no luck:
- Went into my BIOS and changed my default video card from the HD Graphics to Nvidia
- Went into "preferences.script.txt" and changed the GTX numbers (I copied and pasted the entire text in the file from the Total War online user help)
- Ensured my drivers are up to date

Nothing seems to be working, and none of the discussions I've read had a viable solution.
Thank you in advance!

enter nvidia controll panel - goto physX menu and look at Blue arrow GUI crappy explanations
change it to right primary card, now the OS should know what is right card.
laptop pc can be harder to change some require enter bios mode and turn off intel-HD onboard card

ps.
sometimes bios update can also be needed, not the first time hardware product support have change this or added such options
