Shogun 2 Crashes as Soon as I Start a Battle

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, changing my resolution all the way down, and verifying my game cache but it still crashes as soon as I start a battle. It hasn't always done this but now I simply cannot start a battle. As soon as I click the battle button, it loads, and when the loading screen is over, the music plays for about 3 seconds and then the game crashes. Please help me if you can- I loved the game so much when it worked!

check your drivers,bios on all hardware.

you also want to try cleans pc for junk and addware temp files.
ccleaner and adwcleaner and advance systemcare free version
optimize and clean if this is a system drain,

and
vsync on , no overclocking and mods can also fubar this.
but it also sounds like a graphic driver issue, but with the auto update app that our gfxcard has today i doubt this is it.

also try rerun REDIST folder apps includ the directX + reboot, if you have change hardware.
see pinned down thread also for this info.

go dx9 if you have a older pc. what is older pc that is a pc that dont match recommend at all
this game has been way to nice to allow people play in dx11 just because you support it dont mean it runs smootly, but if you have lag or pc stuggle with it, and this can lead to crashes
if pc is not optimized with best newest driver and bios, ( try see it as pc resorces is on the edge for what it can handle and later in the game, all game gets heavy doing gameing over time )

and yes ccleaner and adwcleaner and advance system care might fix your pc so it runs better
but so can newest optimized drivers, rest is just system clean and that also can help alot.

even good old disk defragmenting can help the OS ( harddisk to load faster for files )

iobit has a range of apps that seem to cover this ( there is other tools outthere.but they seem to cover most pc need as one packed)

iobit advance system care ( optimize and clean )
iobit uninstaller ( quite good to uninstall and registrating clean same time, power scan )
iobit driver booster ( find thirdpart device , we all have on our mortherboard )
iobit malevare finder ( well maybe not the best , but its better then nothing else better then windows defeander )
iobit smart diskfragmenting ( quite good , can actual do a game only. )

there is also auslogic but not all app is free there.

and watchout for spam offers. doing installation ( nothing new in this )

and just because i have no trouble using them, dont mean it work for you.
this is just suggestion, apps feel free to locate your own and you will figureout many are not free version and require payment before use, and this can change in the apps as they see fit.

Doing those things never hurts, but it is a very poor way of troubleshooting your PC.
Simply safe-boot your PC and you do a better job than those tools can do since they generally do not impact incorrectly installed drivers etc, but a safe boot does.

Do a safe-boot, if the game runs, do a clean boot, if the game still runs, google clean boot and read how you can figure out what causes the problem. PC troubleshooting 101.

safe boot, is only use to stop current thirdpart app and service
it wont fix anything if OS suffer from to many problem to even mention here.

ps.
the only thing that will proof is you have a app that interference with steam or game.

look we can debat this to the end of time, your understanding of technical issue is way below avarage, and troubleshooting is part of the solutions, what other choise has we, he can contact sega and CA, but if they cant help then he will be stock with your way of see things , and that is nothing , dont look for the problem dont fix anything, a magical person will fix this by itself, keep dreaming. you start to look like a troll here.

problem is
crashing inside a game is the hardest part to ID , because the game do start and work for a time. and cause is many , graphic drivers is most possible reason. but side cause effect why it do it, is OS system issue.

but you dont seem to get this, he need to check hes system
and who dont have minimum system requirements today,
and its hes job to tell system spec not us, and aslong he give no info he wont get help
he dont even provide windows crash log, so there we are with a basic idea what can cause this.

You can attack me personally since you are clearly unable to convince me, but you are only undermining yourself. When you do not understand what somebody might just be implying you ask, you do not simply disagree and then try to insult to make your point.
So far you have made clear to me that you do not understand yourself, you can not form a proper post, you do not know how to troubleshoot a PC and when you do not have somebody agree with you you become childish in nature. Do you think I would take your advice now?

well maybe its because you flame on CA,Sega that they dont know anything about troubleshooting in the other post. that i have judge you to be a skilled IT person. and know what he talking about.

and short story,
and it to steam community ages to figureout over several years why this crash, ( anti virus app blocking it )

but seen from a game company viewpoint, not really our problem what people apps are.
atleast they could have warn people about it, and say its not our responsibility what people will do about it, and we cant recommend people for turn off security, try contact your anti virus app support page maybe they can help.

but are you here to get help or are you giveing help to others, there is a huge diffrence in that.
but then you say stuff like dont do that to other people comment, this is why i dont get you anymore. either you are a skilled person that take care of himself and solve it, dont need other advice, and only read to figureout whats up with the game why it crash.

but none i know will ever say those statment you do. (do nothing)

here is a another newflash for you , tech people talk with other tech people ( consulting ) , but they will still judge and act after own determinations after what they see is right. ( we dont trust anyone, we confirm fact not what other say. )
