In some cases, we may request your Preference Script file to investigate your issue. To find this:
Use the Search tool in your Start Menu (Windows 7/8) or Task Bar (Windows 10) and search for ‘%appdata%'
From here go into \The Creative Assembly\[Insert Game Title]\scripts
And attach to the discussion a copy of you preferences.script. (.txt)
Please ensure you do not remove this file from this area.
And edit it from the above to something like this: gfx_video_memory 1024000000; # gfx_video_memory <int>, Override available video memory (bytes) #
Which basically takes the 0 that defaults it to looking at your settings to being overriden and forced to assume you have more VRAM than you in fact do in which case you're free to set the graphics in-game to whatever you like.
P.S. If you find this isn't working, and you reopen the preferences file and notice it has changed back to the default setting it's because the game is likely over writing it at boot up, you can stop this by changing the preference file to read only after you change it.
