Cannot play online with a friend

A friend of mine and I have downloaded the game when it became free on monday. After the tutorial we wanted to play together online. We couldn't play the multiplayer campaign neither the avatar campaign. We tryed both hosting but we couldn't join the other's game in any circumnstance: everytime it said that the host didn't respond in time... Since my friend tryed playing with others it appears that I was the problem.
I tryed to check the cache files through Steam. What could be the problem?

i have the same problem and i dont know where to find a response or sollution. Basicly me and friend were playing co-op vanilla campaign. Played till 58 turn, saved a game and called it quits for a day. Next day we tried to play again but this time we are getting a error "no response from host". Tried with manual saves, tried with auto saves, tried new co op campaign, im hosting he is hosting, doesnt matter still the same error. I tried playing with other friend and there was no problem connecting. Can anybody help in some way? And if i have to reinstal do i loose all saves?

I'm trying reinstalling from scratch, will tell you if this fixes the issue

well i tried reaching to their support. The answer i got was that i should try posting on forum.

Can someone help me please?

When i try to host a game, my friend can't join me and gets the error message; "host not responding"
And visa versa (when he hosts a game and i try to join it.)

We both have the same version.
play both with the D11.

We already have tried to play with hamachi, which didnt work either.
Tried to change the ports, which didnt work.


And most of the other servers on online are "incompatible versions" which makes me think that i me and him maybe miss an patch but cant find it.

And, there is 1 server from the 100 i could join. (whats different on that server, i dont know. the host wasnt responding in chat nor on steam.)

so, any help would be really appreciated.

Sadly im trying to resolve the issue but im still not getting any response from their support

i have another problem. We cant see saves in the game! But i found saves file in my pc.
