Which Clan Has The Best Daimyo?

A subjective question indeed, but one I tought would be interessting to see some opinions about nontheless. Which clan do you think has the best Daimyo and why?

The Mori daimyo starts out with night attack which is a really really useful skill.

I can pick two daimyos: Uesugi Kenshin and Hojo Ujiyasu, Uesugi Kenshin is the youngest of all daimyos and will age longer than all of the others plus he has 4 honnor points when the others have 3, while Hojo Ujiyasu at the start has the night battle ability and has 3 sons so your clans future daimyo seats r secure. But at the end I'll pick Hojo Ujiyasu for myself.

Definitely agree there, but in that case, wouldn't the Hattori Daimyo be a better choice? The Mori Daimyo is old and won't last long, plus his ''self-centred'' trait is completely useless. The ''impolite'' trait is also a hinderance and doesn't help the clan in any way. Hattori basically get the same bonus plus a -10% chance of being assasinated. Combine that with the fact that he is younger and will last longer and he turns into a straight upgrade.

True. 2 honor and no traits at all? SHAMEFUR DISPLAY! Well, atleast he isn't getting the impolite trait, so altough the -1 honor might ♥♥♥♥ up diplomacy in the beginning, it is possible to counteract that, whilist the impolite trait is constant. So technically you can make an argument that he isn't the worst out there...

Takeda sure has some nice traits, but if I recall correctly, doesn't night fighter instill fear in enemy units aslong as they don't also have a night fighter general if you attack them at night? In that case, wouldn't Hattori's -10% chance of being assasinated compared to Takeda's -2% be better?

Shingen and Kenshin are the best simply because they start the youngest,

I'd say Takeda Shingen is the best overall: has some nice traits, in particular the "scare enemies" trait, which is very powerful in a game where winning battles effectively comes down to getting morale collapse. Shingen is also relatively young, so he has plenty of time to get buffed and raise honor, which is, as others have pointed out, a weakness of daimyo like Mori. Shingen also has some nice generals and a son to start off with, also something most daimyo lack.

Runners up would be, imo, Shimazu and Uesugi: Shimazu for decent combat buffs and strong sons; Uesugi because he is by far the youngest daimyo, so he can easily get fully buffed and live through an entire campaign, even a Long one.

Are you talking like, integrity, character, and real world history, or just game mechanics and advantages?
because in game, they're really all the same. You can customize them as you wish. There are some start up stats that are trivial in the grand scheme of things. They're also easily replaced with a fresh character sheet by charging into spears.

The ikko ikki shimozuma clan is actually those monks who accompanied kenyo.
I think Shimozuma Rairen is the dainyo while renyo is the daimyo's son.

And speaking of ikko ikki, the Saika was a pretty prominent Ikko Ikki clan, they do have samurai who uses guns because they fight for money, you can't say samurai don't use guns because its dishonourable, since Saika Magoichi is a samurai by name, and he uses guns, but still a good friend of Toyotomi Hideyoshi.
