Movies to inspire?

Can anyone point me some movies to inspire you to play Shogun Total War 2?
I know you have "The Last Samurai" with Tom Cruise, really great for who will start "Rise of the Samurai Campaign" but other periods? Any suggestion of movies, can be really old ... :)

Anything by Akira Kurosawa.

Shichinen no Samurai (Seven Samurai) is one of the finest movies ever made IMO.

Edit: I meant any of his period samurai pieces, he did some amazing other films too (Ikiru) though.

13 Assassins by Takashi Miike, is about a conspiracy formed by Samurais to kill the aspiring Shogun at the fall of Tokugawa Shogunate. Really good writing and photography, plus it has tons of action and a very long combat scene. It's a wonderful movie.

Also I'd like to recommend 'Ten to Chi to' aka 'Heaven and Earth'. That film is set during the Sengoku period and portrays the rivalry of Uesugi Kenshin and Takeda Shingen.

like above shogun assassin is great but search for the whole lone wolf and cub
series if you can basicly the extended verision of shogun assassin (6 films)

Heaven.and.Earth(1990) is good (but you need subs)
