How often does this game go on sale?
Title says it all. Does it go on sale often or am I better off just saving some money up to buy it as is? I'm a huge fan of the sengoku period and I'm new to the total war series, so would like to try this one out first.

Here is the countdown for the next mayor steam sale: https://www.whenisthenextsteamsale.com/

They might have a sale within this period, but that is unconfirmed. I doubt they will tho, so I wouldn't count on it. I personally would have waited for the sale, but it depends on how passionate you are.

Thanks for the link. I'll keep my hopes up that it will be included in the halloween sale. I'm looking to buy the package, which should hold me over until three kingdoms releases.

Wow those prices are much cheaper. I wonder why they aren't that price on steam. I might seriously debate buying it from there. Forgot that site even exist, thanks!

No problem man, most games are cheaper on there, valve likes to take there cut on here thats why its so dear, just buy your keys from sellers with the most positive feedback. I've saved hundreds on there

It's really low on G2A for the entire Gold edition. I'm seeing $10 for the what I believe is everything, even Fall of Samurai with all the bull**** faction DLCs. DLCs within a DLC all of which are basically just paid mods.

Some modder created a playable Korea area of the map with new factions, and it costs nothing.

I went ahead and purchased it from g2a for $10. Really excited to start playing. Cheers everyone!

^ Wise decision. Capitalism right? A better price for the same contet = better consumer deal.

Did that include everything? Even the Late Era they are selling as a seperate product with it's own DLCs within?

If I ever want to buy Fall of the Samurai. I would be better off buying the entire Shogun 2 product over again to get it for $10.

This is one of those games that taught me a valuable customer/consumer lesson years ago. Don't buy any amount of a game product unless they are at least 5 years old and the team has certainly moved on.
This is also the last Total War I bought, and plan on buying.

I have this game, Med 2, Rome 1, Shogun 1, and Med 1. I think I'm good with the deepest strategy experiences anyways. I like how easy it is to self-mod the older games. Such as unlocking all factions in Med 2. I enjoy playing around with the file codes and not spending more money ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Shogun 2 Gold new physical copy overall cheaper than digital on Steam. What!?
Used copies also available for even less, $20
$10 on G 2 A for Steam key.
Steam is slacking.
I wish I would have waited longer, and got a used Gold disc version $20 for entire game. That's more reasonable compared to other forms of entertainment media available. Such as YT which costs nothing to enjoy.
I was easily able to watch Sekigahara on the internet for $0
This overly expensive video game thing got old a long time ago for me. Thankfully, newer releases are awful game experiences anyways :)

Thanks I had a look at that 3 letter site and it looks like the cheap copies are all gone.

I actually have the base game + blood pack on my other account but I'm missing the dlc and expansion pack. I'll keep keeping my eye out for the gold edition and the complete ed which looks to be the same thing but with the blood pack.
