Hojo switch their capital

I was making a vassal only playthrough and noticed that if you play as hojo, Izu is your capital and works as your capital, but if you play as any other clan, while Izu will get the crazy resistance to invaders from capitals, their actual capital is sagami. If you let them rebel, Izu will spawn normal rebels while Sagami will spawn Hojo rebels.

BTW here is the completed vassal only map, with Oda. I had so much money that I ended paying them to like me too. Its interesting that it only took me 59 turns in legendary, while normal campaigns takes me around 90-110 turns. (Tho I used no territoral expansion and no realm divide mods)

Vassaling is the closest way you can play to sengoku era realism. When I see your list of vassal clans the first thing I thought of is how you spared them from annihilation.

A lot of them were anihilated several times but you can bring them back if you conquer their capital and they dont exist. Most of the times I had to do this.

In the first playthrough I thought that Izu was the Hojo capital so I got sagami for me and at an advanced turn I noticed that conquering Izu from rebels wouldnt let me bring back the hojo... So my ocd said ♥♥♥♥ this, I have to do it again, cause at that time sagami was very happy and I was too powerful for anyone to declare war on me.

A real pain in the ass was when a vassal conquered a town I wanted for me or to bring back someone. In the first playthrough I had this happen a lot of times. in the second one, this one, i was much more careful to no let that happen but sometimes it was close. and declaring war on a vassal would wreck all the relations. in fact i think it was -200 when i did it to test.

vassals cannot declare war on anyone. the problem you have probably is that they are breaking your vassalage, then declaring war.
i had to have a permanent army on sagami cause the hojo were rebelling again and again, and also the ogigiasu or however its said. i also had a permanent army on omi cause tokugawa and imagawa liked to backstab, so basically when they rebel i vassalize them by force again. but other than these i had some single rebellions from other clans, but not many. surprisingly the hattori that say they are sufficient loyal didnt declare war on me EVER from the first time i made them vassals at the very start of the campaign.

other things also help, like having 6 honor for that +20 diplomacy and the 2 arts that give +30 diplomacy. this way people hate you less.

and about the Vassals fighting eachother, I think I forget that they're "Not" my vassal, and decided to attack my Vassal, silly me.
