Local Play with two licenses and one PC
As the title reads, is it possible without a VM to play Shogun 2 on the same PC with two licenses? I have tried sandboxie, and even booting on different profiles on win 10, but steam just thinks I'm playing it on my main, but it's my alt playing it, which means I can't boot it.

Any ideas?

I dont think you can because you need to be logged in two steam accounts for that to work, and steam can only log on one at the same time so yeah you need VMs I believe

Figured out some solution, it's wonky at best but, if you own two copies and use sandboxie or a VM, boot the games at the same time and hope to god it boots on both accs.

It works with family sharing too, but that requires fast clicking as well as luck.

Now I can finally Nerd about with different strats.

you already failed, not sure how you will control both side ( this is a waste of time ) sure 2 players and 2 pc, rest is a nightmare in switch or task to each of them at same pc. on same battle. but if op dont do that then it could work. each player play for them self.

Two monitors, both games running in windowed mode, cant get harder than that!

Or just get 2 computers.

But two PCs is way more expensive than two monitors, of which I already have.
