Multiplayer campaign synching issues
I've been trying to play a multiplayer campaign with my friend. However, our time has been plagued with some issues regarding battle signs not showing up for the other player not seeing the battle-sign: As you may know, to fight a battle both players have to choose between auto-resolve and real-time battle but several times that one of us has engaged in a battle I or my friend could not see could see the battle-sign showing up that the player engaging in the battle could see so we cannot advance in the campaign.
This was problematic in the diplomacy screen too: When factions would declare war on us and I called my allies to help I guess my friend is supposed to see my diplomacy screen but he didn't see it. So when I click for accepting the "offer" nothing happens and we cannot advance in our campaign.
This struck me as odd. Is this normal for players? I would guess not, cause if most players had this problem it would have been patched by now.

one of you guys need to send the other your save file and delete the other saves for the campaign

Excuse me, but could you be more specific? Do I make a save file when we start the game and then send it to him? Do I have to load it with him afterwards? What other saves do I need to delete? How does this fix the problem?

if you aren't playing on legendary, just save the game and it will resync

diplomacy screen is a diffrent matter, because you are diffrent clans, that has nothing todo with sync issue.

in coup
my coup-partner was declare war on 2-3 clans, but i told him i did not want hes wars effect me was busy cleanup elsewhere after hes other war declaring and it was me they effect , so it is possible to have diffrent wars among us, problem was not the war part but , depend on map who take what provinces its best to let whoever it is recover and get rdy to move then its needed and not be thow in every war that your ally make.

so yes its also possible not get battlescreen if autosolve is made.

then we talk about sync issue its load coup campaign up again and somehow its not working and that is the send savegame to the other or vers versa , depend who has the corrupted file

ps.
other solutions is update netcard drivers. even that has be a advice from sega/CA support page its very few pc that has such issue.

ps.
dont forget all software can always get a random crash, include save games on harddisk, and you scrates your head and say WTF. and game starts fine next without a issue. and then you go hmmm what the hell was that about.

You normally want to revert back to a previous save that you know is not corrupted and send that to your teammate. you may have to do some of the samethings you did in the campaign before like taking settlements and etc. then once you do that just move your other saves to a different folder outside of the shogun 2 files so there isnt anything corrupted.

I've used mods on my game, though I deactivated them before this campaign. COuld that have anything to do with it?

Ive ran into problems with that. I delete them off my pc all the way while doing a coop campaign.

dont add or remove mods doing a campaign's ( a coup or singleplayer campaign sametime can effect each other. only minor mod that is simple might work but conversion mods like expand japan or other huge mods can change data, but so can a minor mods also if fiddle with core data, again im not a modder some games is not a issue but others can get corrupted and then its not funny to loose current game )

example remove expand japan doing campaign is obiouvs for most of us ofcause save game will crash.
