Fukuhara Taira campaign (Rise of the Samurai) starting advice needed.
Could anyone please provide me with an action plan for the Fukuhara Taira campaign (Rise of the Samurai).
Who to attack first, who should be on my hit list early on in the game?
What units to concentrate on building, and in what order etc?
What buildings to prioritize etc?

I attack the clan that is hostile to me first. I also build farms and buildings that make money for me then I build up my army. I will tell you foot samurai with Naginata monks with 4 cavalry units is a very powerful combo.

Also, don't neglect the use of agents, in particular the Junsatsushi, which is very handy in the early part of any ROTS campaign because you can use them to take provinces by switching allegicance w/o starting a war prematurely (something that is very much a factor in ROTs since it essentially boils down to a three way civil war it's inevitable, the goal is to avoid it happening too early before you can handle it).

Among other things, the issue of food is very important in ROS, not enough food can be way worse than having enemies on all sides of you. Make sure you develop agriculture and watch the food consumption by other buildings.

Yes that is why I develop farms above all else.

How do i improve relations to 50% in order for my agent to initiate switch allegince?

I recruit more than one of them, their effect of moving allegiance stacks. Also, some provinces depending on who controls them are easier to flip (i.e. same color).

Hostile in this campaign is rather simple, it's red, green, blue. Whichever color you are, you can be guranteed sooner or later the other two will be at war with you. ;)

Do I start getting influence over a town if I place my Junsatsushi Agent next to it?
I tried to flip Kawachi, a town right in my area but it says I have to have at least 50% influence.
I looked on the diplomacy screen that gives the info on this clan and can't see any indication of a % regarding how much influence I have over them?
Edit, now I see it. Its on the town info tab

Yes, move the agent into that province and it will start moving allegiance torwards you.

You can see the progress by clicking on the province in question, it shows what their current allegiance is and how quickly it's changing per turn.

Sure thing, good luck with the campaign, circle back if you run into more questions and I or someone else familiar with the ROTs campaign will try and answer. Enjoy!
