ps.
to remove agents from game , then its like play a RTS with brute force and no way to change a battle outcome. ( you have to look in mod sections for that if such is even made ) but that idea
is a NO way for many of us ) and you do know you can kill the agent with right type of other agent ( metsuke kill ninja and ninja kill monks and monks convert metsuke )
so you cant get a uber agent he has a weakspot for other right type.
ps.
also you can cheat abit in single player campaign save the game, if fail a task with agent then move him abit and wola sometimes this force a new caculation on it, but dont aspect to win with newly hired agent over a 5star agent.
but if you have boosted the right province and get a level4 newly hired agent then you will be the dominated power overtime, this game can actual be won with agent and a lesser good commander in the battlefield, several steam users has confirm this.
I liked playing with agents in my early playthroughs. The videos and all were really nice to watch. And personally i took down all generals in Kyoto, before attacking it, which made the job really easy.
That said, in the end, i personally feel that there is just no "reward" feeling in playing with agents. All you do is pray to RNJesus. I think there should be like some "advanced options" to turn off/on stuff you want.
I wish it did...add some flavor to the campaign and some unexpected challenge.
It's probably because I keep general's loyalty high and put my own metsuke in stacks, especially stacks lead by captains.
I also have a tendency to disband stacks when I don't need them, so maybe that's why I haven't seen this.
I also kill enemy metsuke as quickly as possible when I see them 😆
But yeah, I have never once lost a stack to bribery, even a half stack. I have seen a few units get bribed, either out of the stack or as reinforcements, like two ashigaru coming from a castle an route to my army might get bribed.
