Shogun 2 and windows 10= problems
So I have problems with Shogun 2 on win 10. Game starts fine but in game game freezes and when I go task manager it says game not answering. Is there fix for that? I have tried this with directx 9 and directx 10 versions.

I also tried to disable F-secure antivirus and still not working. Still game starts fine but after some gameplay game freezes and program not answering

okay it seem you can still start game and just crash later and it dont seem to be the antivirus issue at all, that is a good thing, but you have other issue that cause it.

and i think "mss32.dll" is a Microsoft security esstial aka windows defend in win10 and that is not the issue. so error report is useless in this case.

you need to check mortherboard support page or brand name pc support page for driver + bios update. and you can hope the problem is in that area.

and sense win10 has auto update then problem cant be that system is update there is only the hardware site left ( mortherboard support page or brand name pc support page ) this is the only thing that is left you can check see windows start menu for auto update app if brand name pc many has such install on newer pc, but its normal to cheack for that app on support site depend what you have on your pc.

if you need help to ID such say so , some other apps as speccy or other information can be hard to ID and require skills maybe you know all this, but so many dont know how to do it, keep in mind its a forum and i have no id how skilled each person is. maybe you already have done all this update the pc many onboard drivers and such.

have you also done the validate game cache, its another standard steam thing to check for and should have been done before you even write here, but again not all know such, well anyway ask for help if you need it, is always better then think i know all, and none can help me.

and have you also check that right primary graphic card is select in win10
its a win10 update bug that happend to some people. but i doubt it can be this issue at all.
but we have seen it before some pc has a strong onboard intel or cpu that can run it, and the amd or Nvidia card is not primary card see ( controll panel to confirm this )
it seem stupid that a system can make such mistake and will actual make sense why you crash if wrong card is selected

ps.
if you dont have friend to help you with such tech crap, say so i can try help you if you have a english OS, not sure i can help with local Finish windows even you scandinavian as me.

I just found answer for this problem. I just use my old computer with win vista. Atleast it works fine with that. Graphics are not perfect but good enought. Thank you for help:)

windows 10 is not the issue I use it and play shogun 2 just fine... more than likely your bios need updated.

AFAIK this game doesn't even use dx10. I only have options for dx9 and dx11.

I already have latest bios update when i check asus liveupdate. Maybe it is just this computer(asusg 752vs)which causes that problem
