Project: Gorgon

Project: Gorgon

Current population?
Checked on Steam Charts and there were 155 players online, do they have their own launcher and that number isn't accurate?

The game is only available through steam. The population, while small, is very active. Availability of guilds, groups, and other community activities is high. If you have any questions about how that looks in action, try the free demo. There are restrictions on the demo, but you can view all chat channels.

The game is non instanced so even with small population it feels super alive everywhere you go.

The game is still in development and hasn't been properly advertised until it gets polished more, so its a game you should definitely see get some traffic within the next few years. However, it's still extremely fun in it's current state.
There's over 10 active guilds in the current game. here's a list of them with discords attached. http://wiki.projectgorgon.com/wiki/Guild:Player_Guilds
I played the demo the other day and in the starting areas there was people running all over.
The devs have done something very smart with Project Gorgon: they have built the world with the assumption that they will be a relatively small game. We have seen so many MMOs build their worlds as if they were going to get as many players as WoW. Those games have these massive areas that all feel empty and lifeless. The PG devs are under no illusions. They know they have a niche game and are building it to support a niche population. With about 100 hours in PG right now, it never really feels barren or dead. Chat is always active, and you always see people hanging around in Serbule. In fact, there are many times when I just want to grind solo in a dungeon (which are not instanced) and I feel like there are too many people around! It's a social game made by a small dev team, and they know their limits and the proper scale of the world. ~150 players in other MMOs may feel dead, but it doesn't in PG.
Been 300ish lately on at once too, i never feel alone lol.
Honestly it seems small but I played yesterday and no matter where I went there was 2 or 3 people who happened to also pass by. People are always talking in chat too.
