Haven't played for a few years, but the game worked OK the last time I played. Now I try to play an offline game and create a new character, and I get a ConnError 2 and it drops out. Is this game still going, and why do I need a server connection for an off line game?...

I am not sure about the other maps, as I've not tried them all, but I spawned on the Tropical terrain map. Where I've moved too, I'm near fields of tomatoes and corn, and obviously next to water for fish, and lots of rats, rabbits (or squirrels...didn't get close enough to know), wolves and tigers, not to mention the endless supply of coconuts and bananas.
