it isn't even a port it is just an emulation and very much just like the original

It plays perfectly. Have fun!

Works perfectly fine for me.

Considering you're taking games that ran on high grade toasters and then playing them on a computer in 2013, I would guess it works fine. I haven't played any from this collection yet but, I've played Sonic CD. It was fine and Sonic Adventure one and two were fine as well.
And those fight pads that you can get almost feel like an old Sega Controllers to me. I may have to try using it.

The emulation is spot on, even on a POS netbook.

I can't get this to work at all. No sound, I plugged in my xbox controller and it wouldn't aknowledge it at all, and the default m+k controls are pants. I can go into the menu to change then but then it freezes. I can't find anything to help which makes me think it is (yet another) game I have to faff about to make work on windows 8 :(

maybe you should change back to windows 7?

Luckily, I haven't had any problems with windows 8 interfering with my gameplay of anything. That is odd though, have you tried reinstalling it? Sorry thats so common of a response.

I can't go back to windows 7 as my laptop came with windows 8.
I haven't tried reinstalling but I will.

Windows 8 didn't like Mass effect 1, or fallout 3 and I blame it for the difficulties I had getting dead space to work. I have got them to work now though.

Absolutely amazing. Although the controls are a little weird, you get used to it. The save function is extremely useful, saves all the extreme frustration of dying constantly.

Works perfectly on Windows 7. I recommend getting the Sonic Hits Collection. You get a ton of the better games for cheap. I love steam. Save states are there, and the game runs very smoothly and plays close if not better than the original counterparts.

I agree with you. That is a terrific deal. I love being able to play a good Sonic game, whether it's all-stars racing or Sonic Adventure.

Yes, I agree with you on that. Hopefully the bundle stays updated for those who don't own the games on Steam as of yet.
