Wonder boy in Monster world problem with ocarina songs
Hello . I started playing this game and I got to the point where you had to learn the ocarina songs to open the 3 doors . After the first song was sang ( BABABCB ) , I had to sing it too , but when I tried to sing it , it didn't work . I think there are other buttons for keyboard instead of A , B and C . Can someone help me ? ThankYOU

I am having problems with the Ocarina playing too.
I managed to play the tunes using the keyboard at the "learn the tunes part".
Now I am stuck at the first door.
I have sequences

blue: B A B A B C B
red: A B C B C A B
green: A C C A B A B

However, I get to play only a single note and then it already says I am playing it wrong.
Whatever I try to do, I just don't seem to be able to open the door.
I have tried disconnecting my Logitech F710 controller and just using keyboard but that doesn't make a difference.

Does anyone have any ideas?
Such a petty to be stuck on this part of the game.

I ran into the same problem. It doesn't give you time to play it all. I was able to get through the tutorial. That was a nightmare, but I can't even get it to play at the first door. It has a very small window for the tune be played. I remember playing it on the Master System and it was a fun game. Not like this version.

Exactly the same issue. Using my keyboard I could do the tutorial and them I'm stuck again. Sort of gave up on it now. Will probably buy the new wonderboy game when it is on discount.

I figured out how to do it. It's sort of rough, but it's doable. So the input has to be done perfectly and at a minimum semi-quickly with no mistakes. If you make any error it will automatically reject the rest of the inputs. The time to enter the input is when the word Ocarina in yellow stops. In fact at the first door the input must be for the blue key tune. If you make just one mistake, input the wrong note or slowly do it. It will fail you. Just practice getting the tune quickly without any hitches or delays and you will get past the part. It's just punishes slow in accurate inputs.

Thanks for these reassuring words. I will get back to it then :steamhappy:

Okay, so after a while of fiddling around with this I've got it mostly figured out.

On an Xbox controller:

X = A
A = B
B = C

So, an the note sequence of the first door, B A B A B C B, is done like this on the controller: A X A X B A, and so forth. Also, the guy up above me is right: You absolutely have to press these in sequence and at a good cadence. If you miss a single beat, you'll fail.
