Streets of Rage 3

A thread to talk about Streets of rage 3.
Questions, tips, funny moment etc.

I'll start with some questions....
1) At the stage where you are chased by a bulldozer (stage?) and have to destroy walls do escape. Are there any way to do this without losing lives?

2) Just finished the game at "Easy" and it gave a "You have to try harder..." The end? - End.
Is the end different on Normal and Hard mode?

3) Who is you favorite character? I prefer Skate, hand down. =)

1)you have to attack the bulldozer when he start charging to avoid taking damage , jump kick usually work fine.

2)normal give access to all of the levels.

3)Shiva , there a trick to play as him after the first level.

Ah, never thought of attacking the dozer. Will do that next time, thanks =)

I felt the game was a bit short, but I wasn't sure if it was in this version of the game, or the Revisit version that I played more levels.

As Shiva? Nice! Is it a cheat? Or some kind of unlock?

skate is best if u know how to go super skate but bulldozer can be a ♥♥♥♥♥

Get Shiva
After beating Shiva in the first stage when you get the last hit, press B+Start and hold it. When the continue screen comes up you'll be able to play as Shiva.

OC Gunz: Is "Super skate" something else than the ordinary specials that drain life (the breakdacing one, and the multi-hit when skating forward one)?

Lemonfed: Oh, nice. I have to try that to then. Nice with "unlocks" like that. In the revisited version one could play as all kind of characters including the Kangaroo =)

super skate is a glitch that happen when you die with 0 points while playing as skate , his attack become glichted up and very powerfull.

Oh, so just take the hits so I don't get any points until I die? And then I can crush everything?
Although it's nice to hear some glitches and cheats I prefer to play as the game intended (unless it's a spinoff-version or something).
But nice info for anyone who plays Streets of Rage 3 and find this thread =)

I saw some cheats in another thread, titled after Steets of rage 2, but the OP said that the cheats mentioned was for this game, so maybe that too is something readers here want to know =)

I liked SOR3 but I prefer the Japanese version since they had the uncensored version which got changed to the one we play.
I had trouble with the bulldozer at first too took me a few tries.
You can get multiple endings I believe depending on several paths.
Skate wasn't bad but I liked Axel, grand upper!!!

just start the game in single or co op let skate die with no points and when he comes back to life he is super saket and he is not a glitch theres away to get super axel but its hard as hell

Easiest Way to play As Shiva and Ash

Knock Shiva or Ash until his life level,For last knock,use A+B+C+Up and wait until level ends up.

Thats all! No you can Press start in gamepad 2 or lose to show continue and select Ash or Shiva!



Super Skate

Start the game and allow yourself to lose a life with zero score. When you respawn you will be Super Skate, with a new superfast powerful combo attack.



Super Zan

On the character select screen, hold the C button on both pads when selecting Zan and keep holding until the game starts.



Super Axel

To get Super Axel make sure you have a 6-button controller. Choose Axel and start the game. Start tapping the X button repeatedly and move the d-pad counter-clockwise (if you have a turbo controller you can hold the X-button down.)

Keep doing this until you start the first level. Don't stop until after you do a spinning punch followed by a jumping uppercut. Now press the A button. If done correctly, Axel will do a spinning punch followed by his dragon smash.

This move is tremendously powerful. It does obscene damage, knocks down ALL enemies, and doesn't consume life energy. HOWEVER: you are not invincible during this move, and will lose your other specials.





zan and skate have stronger sides bc they are much weaker

This may be off-topic but i figure this is a better place than posting in the discussion of this on Steam otherwise, but does anyone know if this has gamepad support? I have a 360 USB controller and it'd be nice to just use that on old-school stuff. Thanks..
