Is Sonic CD not apart of this?
I saw Sonic CD included in a bundle that was on sale on the steam store. The bundle had all the games that worked with this but it appears Sonic CD does not???

Sonic cd is not part of this. It is a separate game.

Dang. I would've loved to play a mod of Knuckles, Amy, or others in Sonic CD, though.

I hope they add SEGA CD to the hub in the future. It would be nice

This wouldn't really make sense. Although I like the idea, Sonic CD is a game for the Sega CD, not the stand alone genesis. They could potentially add CD/32x support to the hub, but there are virtually no mods for either platform, and given the state of the emulator right now, adding those to the mix would likely cause ridiculous lag, bugs, slowdown. Honestly, it doesn't seem like it would be worth the trouble for Sega...

SegaCD support shouldn't add too much more lag; it isn't much more processing power to run SegaCD than it is to run vanilla Genesis.
32x is a completely different animal though; it would need to emulate the master/slave SH2 processors running independent of the Genesis cores.
A thing to consider: This is an emulator with roms, and Sonic CD is a standalone program remade for PC. They can't just shove the Sonic CD that's on Steam into this program.

It's funny cause the stand alone Sonic CD is better anyway with achievements, and I think support for modern resolutions. It's similar to the updated ports of Sonic 1, and 2 for IOS. Which are still not on Steam for some reason....

Sonic CD is its own game, but this is a genises emulator, not a sega cd emulator

Sonic CD isn't a Mega CD game anyway, it's a full native PC port.

And it's much better than the original releases, too, thanks to Blit Software and Christian Whitehead. One could always wish to see the game being further worked on for its own Steam Workshop support, though.

True.
A big difference with that version is the option to switch between the U.S. and Japanese soundtracks, as well as the option to play as Tails (though playing as him removes Amy. Sorry Tails, no hugs for you...)

They had super-awesome versions of Sonic 1 and 2 on appstore. It doesn't makes much sense that those aren't released on PC - Sonic CD is already here.
And S3&K deserves such port too.

Sonic CD is a remaster, not an emulated version. That is, it's not a Sega CD emulator running Sonic CD.

Still, I guess it would be somehow possible to launch the game inside the hub, rendering it to the TV screen. But... I don't know, as it's not an easy task and there's so much to do in the hub and the emulator, I'm sure this will never happen.

I'd love Sonic 1 and 2 remasters in Steam too.

Which we need on Steam with full support. Sonic 2 had Hidden Zone added fully to it which I wanna play on Steam.

They do actually exist, and they're based on the same codebase as Christian Whitehead's Sonic CD remaster that's available here on Steam. To date though, they've only appeared on Android and iOS. They're great fun if you can play them with a proper gamepad (and it's less of a chore to get the Chaos Emeralds). Still, we do need them on PC.
