Light Crusader: Everything shakes

I was just trying Light Crusader and the game was shaking everywhere during movement. It's unplayable like that. Thoughts?

I just tried it, and it seemed fine. Are you referring to how the scrolling is somewhat jerkier when going up, down, left or right (as opposed to in a diagonal direction, such as up-left)? I'm very familiar with Light Crusader, as I played a ton of it back when I was in high school, and the game's scrolling has always been somewhat jerky if you're not moving diagonally, even on original hardware.

It wasn't just jerky, the whole screen shakes.

The camera's pretty tightly bound to your character, as I recall, and your character doesn't move horizontally/vertically smoothly, instead doing alternate diagonal movements to approximate it. The end result is the entire screen shaking when you move in those directions.

This happens on the actual hardware, too. It's just how the game is.
