The sad part is it's an AWESOME idea to promoding retro-game modding on Steam this way, but the pirated roms are burying the actual mods.
ROMs can't have any working malware, so far from experience, due to being confined in being ran by emulators.
Usually it's people who just want to "share cool games with other people" without checking or actually playing or caring, cue yet another reupload of Battletoads.
Unique visitors are counted by the people who open item's page. You can sub to item without opening it's individual page (hover mouse over icon of a item and a button should appear in bottom right).
I was opening this one up in a graphics ripper hoping there was some kind of weird joke or secret but I couldn't find anything.
Even some of us that DO emulate roms ike to buy the good offical ports/complilations to keep supporting the company when we can.
Especially since this collection supports Steam Workshop and has a cool GUI.
I use workshop as a way to keep games 'in the cloud', upload dem private and use at any PC I have steam installed hassle-free and automagically. I bet a lot of people use it like
Top mods on workshop are 100% illegal, don't you worry. You can't upload other region translated version, Sega just don't care much (and that's why they added workshop in the first place).
I have a real question: why are idiots keep whinning? Move on with your life, maybe become a real lawyer if you care so much about other people's things.
There's this lovely (free) thing called Google Drive that doesn't ♥♥♥♥ up the workshop with pirated roms. It gives you a whole 15GB of storage which is MORE than enough for Genesis roms.
