Honestly don't really see the point in removing the classic sonics as they are pretty bare boned. They could of just left it alone you would still get other rare sonic games in a collection.
How do they get the achievements if they can't buy the game tho?
How is that not a problem?
About 0.7% of this game's player base got all the achievements. The majority of the people who would ever be interested in this collection already bought it. There is not a large, untapped market of people who want this game, haven't bought it yet, and want to be able to get all the achievements. Those people, if they exist at all, form a very tiny group. Also, anybody for whom the ability to get all achievements is a necessity is also someone who would check to make sure that's possible before buying a game.
It is not a given that all achievements in any given game should be achievable. Not being able to get them all, while it might annoy some, is not inherently a problem. It certainly wouldn't justify removing achievements that others worked for and already got.
I'm not in the group who has a compulsive disorder cause I can't get all achievements, but if I really like a game, find the achievements possible, and actually buy a game to play it, not collect it and put it on a shelf, I'll try and fully beat it. To me its no different than what stars in mario 64 were, Or secrets in doom. I don't collect all secrets in doom1 or 2 but if that's something someone enjoys good for them. What would doom still be doom if ID removed all secret areas?
I really don't see why the sonic games were removed from the collection. Ya know they could easily fix this by ya know, maybe giving us the sonics in this collection free. I mean its not like everyone with a genesis back then didn't have them, sometimes in the same cartridge. But hey it don't matter to me either way I only bought sonic2 cause I already beat 1, 3 and could care less for SnK's insane difficulty. Already got the fantastic sonic cd on here, only thing that's disappointing for me is no more sonic spinball shoulda bought that one when I had the chance its actually a great game. But he we fans don't own the companies all we can do is speak our useless opinions that the companies never even look at.
Before the sega collection they were actually their own games with their own achievements and I preferred that to making them cheap anthology games. But hey keep on changing the games guys its not confusing or downgrading at all.
