Best Golden Axe Game?

I'm just kinda curious. For the folks who don't all just migrate to Streets of Rage 2 of course.

With the first one, they were stuck with the arcade port but did add in some new stuff at the end which was nice. 2 was something completely original on its own and they really added in some nice effects for it. 3 had a very distinct look and feel compared to the first two. It was a rapid departure, like Streets 3 was from Streets 2, but was done much better than Streets 3.

In this collection, 2. Overall, revenge of death adder IMO.

I prefer Bare Knuckle III compared to the seriously nerfed version the Western audiences got of Streets of Rage 3. It not only plays better, but has a better storyline if you have the English patched version.

As for Golden Axe.. I spent most of my original hardware time with the series playing the first on the 6-Pak cartridge. Likewise, it was also where I learned of Streets of Rage and other titles, too.

That said, I do like Golden Axe 1 and need to try 2 at some point. I'll admit to playing 3 quite a bit aftermarket on both the PSP and on various other outlets, mostly due to the panther-man fella.

Long story short: Of all 3, I have the best experience with 1, and do like 3, need to try 2.
