streets of rage difficulty?

Has anyone who used to play the first SoR found this version more difficult than others? It seems much harder than the actual Genesis version I used to play, and harder than the 360 version I played just a few months ago. Then, I reached the final boss on the first playthrough without even using a continue. On this version, I haven't reached the end at all in two full runs, and seem to find myself getting killed by regular enemies much more frequently...

The game is on normal, same difficulty I always play on.

I meant different versions of SoR 1. For example the original Genesis version of SoR 1, the 360 version of SoR 1, and this emulated version of SoR 1. This version seems more difficult than the other two.

No i can tell you, i did the same the only difficult i had was the fact that their emulator sucks, you have inputs eaten, lags, slow downs that make all my strats imprefect.

I just came here exactly looking for others experiencing the same. i am sure i was doing and having done to me things that were never done before. Getting grabbed from behind much much more than used to happen for example.

Yeah, maybe there are some differences in the AI when running on a different system, along with lag or something...

SoR 3 is bs difficulty, play the japanese version.
