Can't get Sonic to do spin attack/charge
I tried to find move settings and there doesn't seem to be a "spin attack" option even there. And I was pushing all my keys(don't have a controller) and nothing happens.

I'm really confused....could someone help?

Sonic 1 doesn't have a spindash. That was added in Sonic 2.

Oh, that makes sense.. it's been so long since I played it. I really thought it did. I remember playing a really old sonic game, just sonic, and it had a spindash.

Thanks so much for your help.

The remastered version for phones and probably probably several other added the spindash back in, maybe you played one of those.

Oh..no probably not. I looked it up, I was a kid when I played it, I just remembered wrong

other then the basic defaults like adws and I found out that two of the others are jump options.. I don't know what any of those option/settings are, what do/are they for? Do you know?

And apparently sega mega drive classics have fast forward and rewind?
But does it have a go back to menu option? It seems to just keep the game where it is even when I was looking around in the options.. I also don't know how to pause

You pause by either pressing enter or whatever is start on your binds or by holding esc

And for the controller binds all of them are just jump ABC and XYZ have different uses in other games like Streets of Rage 3

I don't have a clue what mode does

And for Fast Forward and Rewind it only works in the non-simple launcher. the defaults should be 1 and 2 respectufuly

The spin attack is literally the name of Sonic's jump.

the "Mode" button - according to the manual when I bought my second controller (for a full-two-at-once players) with my original system - apparently is supposed to be for there being certain select title which 'support' 6-button (ABCXYZ) input, but were released without it as starting the game with that support set to un-enabled, with 3-button (ABC) as enabled & that to switch to allow it every time you start the (a) game, you need to hold the "Mode" button down up to, I don't remember where, but I'd advise to be safe, the new game/password enter screen/saved games/options menu. As to which titles did & didn't - I never knew, I just got into the habit of holding it down before almost every game. Though I do think I remember that it may have been used for either Separation Anxiety or Maximum Carnage, NBA Hangtime or NBA Jam: Tournament Edition, maybe Mortal Kombat series games (Midway or Accolaid were i think the companies behind most of these, which might be a theme with them). I believe with the fighting games (maybe Street Fighter 2: Championship Edition & Super Street Fighter II: Championship Edition) the regular controllers toggled XYZ/ABC (punches & run/kicks & block) with the 'Select' button on the 3-botton controllers otherwise.
