retrobit 8 button controller
I'm trying to play sonic 3 with the retrobit controller and the only time the controller works is when holding the "mode" button for 5 seconds to exit out the game, but besides that none of the buttons work. I went to another forum and it said that holding the start button for 5 seconds would make it work but that didn't seem to help. Can anyone help out here??

put the controller into X-INPUT/XBox 360 Controller mode by holding Start and B for 5 seconds. (Tip: you will hear a jingle signaling that your controller has been disconnected, DO NOT LET GO OF START AND B, wait until you hear a second jingle signaling that your controller has connect. then you can let go of start and b, if you let go too early, the mode switch will stop dead in its tracks and your computer won't recognize it.) Also below the Genesis/Mega Drive, there are some controllers. If you click on those you can change what button does what.
my config currently for the retrobit 8 button controller:
A = A
B = B
C = C / RT
X = X
Y = Y
Z = Z / LT
Start = L / LB
Mode = R / RB / Its original location on the 6 button controller from the 90's
Quick Save = Start
Quick Load = Mode
The reason I relocated Start and Mode to L and R is because Mode is supposed to be where R is in the first place, and Pressing Start + A is the equivalent of pressing the home button on an XBox controller, which isn't practical considering that you need to input Start + A in multiple games. otherwise all the other button like I said, are in there original places.
