What are the challenges?
Can anyone post a list? I'm disappointed there aren't achievements for every game but maybe there is within the challenges.

Here's the list of game with challenges, and their descriptions in the game:

1. Beyond Oasis - Defeat the Crab Nabber using just your dagger
2. Columns (1) - Start using this mid-game save, get to a score of 5000 points (doing this would also give you the game's achievement)
3. Comix Zone - Win the kung fung tournament, but your health bar is looking low
4. Crack Down - Finish Stage 1 Act 3 with at least 1:50 left
5. Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine - Starting in the middle of a game, get a score of at least 4000
6. Flicky - Complete Round 10 in under 2 minutes
7. Golden Axe (1) - Take on level 8 of the Duel and win as Gilius Thunderhead, but your health is low
8. Golden Axe 2 - Defeat the 2nd boss while playing as Axe Battler, but using no magic or continues
9. Golden Axe 3 - Beat the 2 Minotaurs without using a continue
10. Ristar - Complete Planet Flora Round 1 (the 1st level in the game) without taking damage
11. Shadow Dancer - Complete Stage 1-2 with the dog in its puppy state
12. Shining Force (1) - Make it to Alterone with no more than 1 team member dying in battle
13. Sonic (1) - Complete Green Hill Zone act 2 in mirror mode in under 1 minute
14. Space Harrier 2 - Complete Stage 1 without losing a life
15. Streets of Rage (1) - Finish Stage 1 with a full bar of health
16. Streets of Rage 2 - Complete Stage 2 without picking up any items
17. Streets of Rage 3 - Beat the twin bosses at the end
18. The Revenge of Shinobi - Complete the first level with just one health bar remaining
19. Vectorman 2 - Collect all 123 photons on level 2
20. Virtua Fighter 2 - Take control of Kage-Maru and perform an epic comback to win the fight

many of those are for the same game that already have achievments (Sonic, Golden Axe, Streets of Rage, etc...), but some of them aren't (like Ristar or Vectorman 2). If some of thos describtions sound odd, don't worry, picking a challenge from the challenges or extra menu would the game at a "mid-save game" as the Columns challenge says, and you play that short part of the game. Also, it's not possible to use the rewind or fast forward feature on the challenges, which probably make them more challenging than the actual achievements (though they are short and less grind-y).
Hope this helps.

Disappointed its a small and somewhat easy list. Would host for at least 2 achievements per game. Beat it and then do it again on any hardest setting and/or complete everything.

Ditto re disappointed. Only one challenge for Shining Force and nothing for Shining Force 2? And only one achievement for the first game? Sigh...These games couple have a bunch of achievements alone.

I don't the powers that be care though. We should just be happy with the little they gave...

Yeah, they put good effort into the HUD before launching a game.

I still wish they were individual games with achievements like on XBLA arcade.

At minimum they could just port over a massive amount of achievements. It is like 60 games in 1.

The challenge "A dog is for life" is broken. After 89 attempts I finally got through the level with the dog hurt and in is shrunken state, and it failed me. :madkitty:

"wasn't broken for me" Wow, what a thorough and thoughtful testing procedure. You should apply as a QA tester for Bethesda, you could write an empty test report on fallout 76! With your testing methodology of "run exactly one quick test and write the report entirely based on that one test", you'd fit right into their company culture.

You'd test a function by testing it once with the example input as the input and then throw your hands up and say "it worked fine for me" when management shows you reports of the software breaking on several edge cases and asks you how you managed to miss all of them.

The fact is you don't know wtf you're talking about. The bug I mentioned is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ documented in the achievement guide and all you have to say is "WeLp WaSnT bRoKeN fOr Me!". Stop denying the game has bugs. Stop denying reality. So you're getting paid to shill, good for you. But nobody, not one person, is convinced by you or your friend's arguments on any of these threads, and I don't appreciate you following me on other threads to contradict me. Mind your own business, troll.

I respect hookers more than paid shills.

Hookers at least make the customer feel good. Though real talk someone shouldn't be judged for being a sex worker. Most of them don't have a choice, are abused and taken advantage of. And then on top of that they get to be stigmatized in public for doing something all humans do but for money.

Tanoomba and Nbox21, on the other hand...

... Wow.

I didn't deny the game has bugs. I didn't deny reality. I didn't accuse you of being a liar. I'm not saying what you describe didn't happen. I didn't defend anything. I'm not a shill for anything. I'm not following anyone.

All I'm saying is I did all the challenges and the one you describe probably wasn't in the top 5 most difficult/annoying to get. Maybe I just got lucky. Maybe we have different skill sets. Maybe you triggered an obscure bug that doesn't affect many. No need to flip out.

I was even against a certain practice that SEGA had made towards this collection which was something I even mentioned before on another thread here yet I still get the same accusations that you did from these two despite my post history proving otherwise.

Look Tanoomba, I may disagree with a lot of what you have to say on a lot of things and made lots of arguments to counter any takes you bring up, but this isn't about that anymore as we're both being accused of something that we're clearly not. Especially considering my activity on the Sonic Origins forums is completely contradictory to this such as this thread.
