Have you played the Steam version on Simple Launcher, through the new 3D Hub or have you played the uncompressed roms using your own emulator?
Have you compared hex?
I also still have a working sega sitting on my shelf, but i bought this, because my last tv died, and i have to replace it. I know exactly what the game is supposed to be doing. I have only likely beaten it at least once a month since I was 10. As for Bimbo and other, its obvious that its a fake account being run by the same person. Only an idiot would believe for a second there could be two such as yourself that would such a precise method of spelling, word separation and the last name. Nice try, now sod off.
(What did you think that was, silly?)
Currently, with SF2, nearly everything is getting double attacks every time they go into an attack. I am stuck at the Kraken, because it seems that even though i took the precaution of cycling battles a few times, to get extra experience and levels for all characters, they can completely bypass defense and pull a one hit ko even though everyone, except the newest addition of Luke, is nearing level 20.
I just loaded my sega console unit up on my roommates tv and have been playing to that point, and never had an issue on the original console. its playing as it should, obliterating most things in one to two hits, and my guys can take the hits, but whoever made this emulated copy, they have editted the crap out of it. My strongest fighter, able to dish out near killing blows on even death archers in the battle before this, did 2 damage to the kraken head.
And ah, both SF1 and 2, I see. SF2 on normal, right?
And I will check on that.
Both compressed and uncompressed Shining Force roms here are identical to original US version.
Both compressed and uncompressed Shining Force 2 roms here are identical to original US version as well.
Must be emulator fault then. Gotta check on how they fare.
I started this game on Shining Force 2 on normal, because i just wanted to relax and be able to enjoy the story without the grind, but apparently some ******* ***** **** ************ has decided to troll on anyone trying to even play, which destroys the possability of people like Holy who never had a chance to play this title when it was new. There is also the fact that Steam apparently temp suspended my ability to even use discussion boards, because I have no problem calling them on their censorship ********
In my own experience, I've had no issues with SF2, but I am also playing the SF2 Shining Tactics Mod, which is having none of the issues you are describing. I'll load up a game of standard after a while and see if the issue is there in the Room Hub.
My guess here, Foxysen is nothing more than a steam lackey, likely willing to discredit anyones claims on any game, that what they are seeing is not actually happening.
Basically Foxy, go ♥♥♥♥ yourself
I asked before, but it begs to be known. Which emulator are you using (Game Room or Simple)? Have you personally modded your game? Is there any way we could get a video of the issue, preferably during the first or second battle to demonstrate the problem?
I love me some Shining Force, and my recollection of both games are that they are rather difficult games to begin with, but I'm not seeing the issues that you have brought up. So more information is needed, instead of arguing with us or lowering ourselves to the level of cursing at those who are legitimately attempting to help us.
