Sonic the Hedgehog Cheats: Stage select, super sonic, & debug mode

(Xbox Controller) Go ahead and turn Sonic the hedgehog 2 on, next scroll down to options, go to sound test & play each number ( 19, 65,09, 17 ) in order if you did this correctly you will hear a chime- press & hold the "X" button & while holding the "X" button press the"Start" button this should return you to the start menu, continue holding the"X" button and press start again, this will bring you to the stage select screen. Now scroll down to the sound test again and play these numbers ( 04,01,02,06 ) in order until you hear a chime this is for the super sonic cheat, then press & hold the "X" button & press start until you return back to the stage select screen, now input the final numbers(01,09,09,02,01,01,02,04 )- debug code- into the sound test until you hear a chime , then press & hold the "X" button and press the "Start" button until you return back to the stage select screen, Now you can select your stage & press & hold the "X" button & press the "Start" button to start the level with your cheat enabled

You know, I found these on an old VHS tape my parents bought me at a sale when I was a kid and some 14 years later I can still muscle memory the Sonic 2 & 3 cheats.

hi Oscar_Mike this code is bugging me? 65 doesn't play any sound? also holding A and pressing start only ever gets me into the start of the first level and I have no idea how it's not going to the stage select... help plz

I went ahead and fixed my article after a few tries and now it should work just fine I had no issues afterwards
