What Are The Best SEGA Games On Steam?

I've only played Sonic games as I never owned a SEGA console, but I played my neighbor's Genesis when I was little and I remember playing Sonic 1 and 2 and I vaguely remember playing a Rayman game I think.

Which SEGA games available on Steam would you recommend? What are the essentials?

The best is subjective, but my suggestions are:

If you like old school side scrolling beat em ups go for the Streets of Rage,Altered Beast, Alien Storm or Golden Axe series.

RPGs Phantasy Star 2-4, beware there is a lot of grinding in 2,but there are mods to make it less mind numbingly tedious.

Other RPGs I'd suggest are Shining in the Darkness, Sword of Vermillion.

Sonic games-Sonic CD,Sonic 3 & Knuckles,Sonic Spinball or Sonic 3D which wasn't bad.
Platformers- Dynamite Headdy, Vectorman, ESwat,Kid Chameleon, Revenge of the Shinobi/Shinobi 3:Return of the Ninja master.

Bonanza Brothers-A shooter/platformer game.

Run & Gun-Gunstar Heroes.

Puzzle-Dr Robotniks Mean Bean Machine-Bit like Tetris but with beans & the bosses are characters from the Sonic TV Show.

There's a lot more but I'm listing the ones I played to death back in the '90s. Its a shame some of the classics aren't available on Steam though, probably due to copyright reasons.

Rayman was a fun game but that was on the Sega Saturn, not Genesis.

Revenge of the Shinobi felt like the hardest one out of the 3, especially the final boss Zeed who you had to kill before your girlfriend gets squished. So many attempts to get the good ending.
