GameArt Studio, the Indie developer from Berlin informed today that the recently announced top-down shooter A.I. Invasion is available in Early Access on Steam.

A.I. Invasion is set in a post-apocalyptic age and demands lots of strategical skills from trigger-happy players.

The extra-terrestrial A.I. has subdued the whole galaxy with a overwhelming army of machines. In various deadly missions set on different planets of the solar system, players have to face this threat to reclaim the place of mankind in the universe.

He is assisted by a team of special units he has to equip and command and by many special items he has to unlock during gameplay.

Who wants to throw themselves into battle can do that immediately as the game has been released today on Steam in early Access. Until release there will by many content updates and more missions and battle grounds.

We just shipped a minor hotfix to solve a problem about the level end.

There was a problem where Fermi would skip the level end sequence to keep running into the subatomic space indefinitely. This problem should be solved and all your particle experiments should lead to success from now on! :)

• a freeze on entering the level editor was fixed. If you encountered a problem with accessing the editor, it should now be solved.
  
• some problems with multiple simultaneously connected input devices were solved
  
• some ingame texts were updated

The subatomic path just got bigger! We designed 3 whole new levels as free update to the game! Additionally a new sector is available for the visual design of custom levels. Some more bug fixes and tweaks make the thing a whole!

Most important changes/additions

• 3 new levels were added to the game. They are available from the level selection as levels 21-23.
  
• 3 new achievements for those levels were added.
  
• A new sector for visual design of custom levels is available in the level editor.
  
• Some of the score-achievements were adjusted to make them easier to unlock.
  
• Save files can now be overwritten if all save slots are occupied.

We finalized the level editor. You can now add Tokens, Explosives, Gates and a secret path to your custom levels. With these features added, the level editor is complete and it is possible to design fully fleshed out levels which can compete with levels designed by our team! Some more new features made it into the editor as well. We updated the comprehensive level editor guide and recommend you to have a look before getting your hands dirty:

Fermi's Path, the action-packed and music-driven arcade game published recently by GameArt Studio is now available as a free demo version.

In Fermi's Path players jump into the role of a particle called Fermi and embark on a voyage along a subatomic path. Driven by the rhythm of the electronic soundtrack Fermi hunts down the highscore as he avoids obstacles and defeats enemy particles.

The demo version contains the complete first 3 Levels of the game – so each player can test the game easily before they decide to get the full version. The full version offers many additional features such as an Infinity-mode, a level editor and popular Steam Community features.

Hey subatomic travelers! Today we have some big news for you.

As you may have noticed while looking through the level editor shipped with the game, the "Export to Workshop" feature was disabled. Not anymore! You can now share your custom levels with all the other highscore hunters out there!

Before you jump into the action we recommend reading through the Fermi's Path Workshop Guide. It goes through every basic step of creating a custom level for the game.

Do note that some hard to observe particles are still missing from the editor. Be assured that we are working hard to catch them ;)


Additionally some more bug fixes made it into the game, most noticably:

• Gamepad compatibility was improved
  
• The game opens the pause menu when defocused while playing a level. This fix prevents the music from stopping mid-game.
  
• The camera no longer spins around the path when transitioning through a Gate object
