Even installed on an SSD (Samsung EVO 850), the load times are far too long... really breaks the immersion.

Yeah, very slow loads, even on an SSD here.

ye, can confirm this. Raid-0 on a 3x HDD setup

I don't think I've seen any load times over 5 sec. SSD here.
I ended up refunding the game. Too many crashes, insanely slow loading even on a ssd, so i'll wait till next year to get it when it's more stable.

Loading time is really the major issue (on my side) so far.
Please do something !!!!

Yeah, the worst of the game is load times.

I am receiving frustratingly long load times not just to begin a game but after each death. The long load times after death is what really ruined the experience for me and I had to refund.

For instance on the first level when you take the wench from the truck, the zombie horde it triggers often results in my death. I used a stop watch and I was receiving load times between 50 seconds all the way up to 3:18 at that same load point. On average it was about 1:50. I tried reducing my graphics settings to medium and resolution to low but this resulted in some of the longer load times in my samples. I spent more time loading then actually playing the game. Completely unacceptable in a game based on replay-ability using higher difficulty settings.

Strange, i did not experience/feel long waiting times. Sure i have to wait a moment or two but not so long that i thougth about refunding. Other games take similar waiting times on my end.

What kind of setup does your rig have?

I use Windows 10, 16 GB Ram, i7-4790K and GTX980, 4GB HDD with an HTC Vive Setup.

My loading times are slow, and the framerate during loading is slow as well, so it can occasionally cause motion sickness if I turn my head while loading.

I have Windows 10, an i7-6850k, 64GB ram, GTX980 and running the game off an SSD.

I wouldn't mind the slow loading if there were a few more processor cycles for smooth headtracking while I wait...

Ok, it really seems not to be a problem of hardware, at least not at first sight.
Maybe try to disable all security tools you may use to rule out that they are interfering.

It loads in 20 seconds it's not a big deal

For me two, the first time i enter the game it may take a bit longer.
After that around 15-20 secs to be ready.
