For instance on the first level when you take the wench from the truck, the zombie horde it triggers often results in my death. I used a stop watch and I was receiving load times between 50 seconds all the way up to 3:18 at that same load point. On average it was about 1:50. I tried reducing my graphics settings to medium and resolution to low but this resulted in some of the longer load times in my samples. I spent more time loading then actually playing the game. Completely unacceptable in a game based on replay-ability using higher difficulty settings.
What kind of setup does your rig have?
I use Windows 10, 16 GB Ram, i7-4790K and GTX980, 4GB HDD with an HTC Vive Setup.
4GB hdd? wow.
sry i ment 4TB
I have Windows 10, an i7-6850k, 64GB ram, GTX980 and running the game off an SSD.
I wouldn't mind the slow loading if there were a few more processor cycles for smooth headtracking while I wait...
Maybe try to disable all security tools you may use to rule out that they are interfering.
After that around 15-20 secs to be ready.
