Is the game still worth it?
I know that game is (at this point) an older VR title. Is it a worthy buy, or does it still posses that early adoption quality? Is the game enjoyable, immersive and will I have fun?

I'd say it's probably not worth full price - but worth it on a +50% sale. It's a bit clunky and certainly showing it's age, but it's a pretty solid, if repetitive, zombie shooter. Like most things, it's more fun coop.
i bought it for 7.73 euros off a game key website and imo it is worth it

i just bought it and after 40 minutes of playtime i'd say go ahead, i cant give full impressions because i havn't played much but i would wait for a sale. 100% shows wrinkles but a good game to play with friends.

I've been playing for a couple of years now and I keep going back. It's a fun game. I want more DLC than the current 2. The Damned is good as is Dead Man but DM is quite short.

I dont get why vertigo refuses to make AS 2.....to have people wanting to play a multiplayer VR game 6 years later is amazing and a testament to how good it is. technical problems aside

I love that i can kind of roleplay it. Enjoying the atmosphere. And for me, who HATES dark Horror-Games (sometimes a real problem in Alyx for me) this was a deLIGHT. Makes it for me very enjoyable and a more "real" Zombie Experience. The DLCs had a lot of dark areas - so i hope, if you do a 3´d DLC, it plays in bright Sunshine! Arizona Sunshine! ;)

Yes to this! :)

The dark areas in the original AS (the mines) was ok, since it was not too dark for too long. But the day-areas under the hot sun... oh boy that was just zombie-delight :)

And that music was perfect for that scenery and that eerie scary feeling :)

This is still the best computer-game I have EVER played.

The only thing I couldn't wrap my head around was the hordes :(
I never managed to complete DLC2 (And I never bought DLC3) because the horde at the base after the foggy area (Which comes just after the missile-launch) was simply too heavy for my skills.

So if they ever make a follow-up game, an AS2, I hope they will make it less frantic and more about the slower pace of making it through whatever environment they come up with.

Basically fewer zombies, and fewer 'runners' too :)

I always felt, when it comes to the movies, that slow walkers are more scary than the runners. Runners are more like 'normal evil humans', while slow moving zombies are just more 'real primal fear' :)

I do hope they would make an AS2 some day though (However they decide to play it out)
