Quest 2 + HTC Vive Compatibility
My friend recently bought the Oculus Quest 2. I have HTC Vive so we thought it would be cool to try out some coop games. Will we be able to connect to each other if he gets this game on Steam and connects his Quest 2 to his PC via cable?

It should work, since he will be getting the steam version to run, and not the quest port.

I will not work. The Quest version is segregated from each other because each one is programmed differently.

If both of you play the Steam version, then yes co-op will work.
I play the Steam version on my Quest 2 with Link or Virtual Desktop without any issues.
(and it is super fun)

What will NOT work: if he uses the Quest version and you're playing the Steam version. There seems to be no crossplay between those versions (like The Gamer Show already mentioned).

Yeah I figured that the Quest specific version has to be modified in some way, there is no way it could run this game in its PC form. Thanks for the answers, I will tell him to buy it now when its on sale :winter2019happyyul:

it works ,but the angle of your gun grip is broken on the quest 2 and you have to constantly aim downward. its iritating and the developers have been aware of the issue for months, unfortunately.

This is a issue since the Rift CV1, it should have been fixed years ago ...
