What does the LOD graphics setting affect in game?

Is it geometry or grass ...idk! I can't tell a difference. I'm trying to budget performance, and wanna know if this one can buy me more resolution scaling.

Thats a good question, i believe its how much detail in the game gets renderd at X distance, so higher LOD will render details X amount further. probably would save some resources you could use on resolution scaling
