Before the first fence you use a key for, you can pick up 2 revolvers from the glass case, and an automatic glock next to the skeleton/dead body on the table. These use handgun ammo.
After the fence, you encounter the shotgun in the corridor you enter by blowing up the wall, and the micro-uzi on the table next to the winch.
If you die, it is *not* possible to go back to past that very first fence to pick up handgun-type weapons, since it opens on the other side. (something I will notify the team of.)
It is possible to reload and continue with an easier difficulty; those two waves at the end should be doable if you get your headshots in.
Hope this helps, if you have any more questions please don't hesitate to ask!
Unless I read this post incorrectly, this part is in the original game and not in the 2 DLCs.
If I'm correct about that, then what I did was first back up against a wall (So I don't get the Freds coming from all sides) and start with the shot-gun until I ran out of ammo and then hand-guns after that.
I think I also shot a barrel that exploded... but maybe I remember that wrong (It's several years ago I played this part. It was when it first released actually)
I suck BIG-TIME at all the 'horde-events', but this one I actually managed to survive :)
(If I can do this one, then even bad players can, lol)
(In fact I hate the horde-modes. They're too tough for me and I have yet to complete the 'dead man' DLC (I'm stuck at the part after the 'chemical fog' bit. I can get up to the road outside the main gates of the base, but I die at that horde part every time. So currently I've given up on it). I love everything else about Arizona Sunshine though)
Good luck! :)
And just to restate: this is the best computer-game I have EVER played :)
(I actually scratched a computer-monitor because I got so shocked the very first time I encountered a 'runner' and turned as fast as I could to shoot him, resulting in me hitting the monitor hard with the Vive hand-controller. I nearly fell too, which would have probably resulted in me ripping my TV and computer down to the floor had I not managed to remain standing :) It's a dangerous game :) )
Sorry, I have not tried those yet so I don't know how they compare.
