Oooh awesome, thanks for that. Very Helpfull! And I really havent had the time to attempt it again since the weekend, during the week I got my daughter with my all day until the wife comes home, then its me going to work. But definitly tonight or tomorrow I will attempt to progress further.
Great job on the video btw..
Also, don't be afraid to use the grenade launcher when you get it. It's a beast, and I realized that I barely used it throughout my entire playthrough. You get about a dozen shots for it, I think, and that's a lot, considering that there aren't that many horde swarms in the game.
Yeah, no problem! I just recently started throwing Vive videos together, and I really enjoy it! I just need to figure out why OBS records the Vive mic as being so quiet, then I can start making more interesting videos.
Seriously, why did they do that? =/
Stuck to that horde too in hard mode. with 25 uzi ammo and 25 pistol ammo, I still end up with no amo....
The fact that I can't use stairs to even go on the first floor of the saloon is insanely stupid design choice as far as i'm concerned and seriously frustrating.
I'll take a look at your video.
That little ammo? Ouch. I'd consider restarting your game, honestly. :/ I had a friend try the game on normal, and even he ran out before that first horde. It really comes down to finding all of the hidden ammo and killing slow zombies in 1-2 shots.
Also, I'd consider playing through the game on normal the first time, if you haven't already. I enjoy being able to go crazy every now and then. All hard mode seems to do is give you a lot less ammo, and maybe make you take more damage (which doesn't mean much). You can still be careful and accurate with your shots in normal mode, but hard mode makes you hate yourself when you miss a single shot, and doesn't forgive spraying into crowds. With the way it's balanced, actually, hard mode makes the beginning of the game unforgiving, but doesn't really impact the later levels as long as you managed to build up a decent stash of ammo, other than the fact that you still don't have enough ammo to just screw around with.
I'm really not keen on restarting the game.
Then your aim sucks dude ;) I've played through hard with a friend. We ran out of ammo one time after a horde, but we managed to run through the rest of the level, dodging the rest of the zombies.
As for this horde, it doesn't seems like there is a way to dodge it, since I believe we have to enter the mine?
Anyway, allowing to use the stairs when horde come would be a basic to add to the game as far as i'm concerned, that and maybe melee or at least a way to push zombie back...
I don't think you get double ammo dude, you just gotta hit the heads and use as little ammo as you can when killing zombies. Also use grenades when there's hordes.
Then, the first Horde at the car/saloon, get inside saloon and close the door more than half way in order to be able to pick them off one by one. That alone should get you through with alot of ammo still available.
secondary hand - shotgun
go for pistol headshots, if someone does get near, pump pistol rounds into the body
if you are caught without bullets and need to reload, use the shotgun to give you a couple seconds.
found the game quite easy this way on normal.
It's honestly quite a short game, and you'll fly through levels that you already played through. I suppose you could also start a new game at your current level, which should leave you with reasonable firepower.
Maybe I should record a hard mode playthrough...
sorry, but really... the demos they showed were more balanced and fun than the final game imo
im sure it helps to have shooting skills in the real world and practice aiming...
but thats not the problem here
i played a ton of VR games and i havent had issues aiming in any of them (except VaRRRRR)
my aim is pretty damn good in space pirate trainer, brookhaven, the lab, SSVR, quivr etc etc
the aiming in arizona sunshine is very different from any other VR game ive played so far.
Even HHH has better aiming.
you can tell me the other games do it wrong and arent realistic all day, and MY AIMING is the problem, but you know its not true.
I dont know what happened to this game, but it doesnt feel AT ALL like the demos.
I dont know why they removed the laser pointers, capped mags to 10 shots and made the reload so cumbersome...
im so let down by this game...
Id rather play the demos they showed at events over and over than play the final game... thats really sad...
"Even HHH"? Are you referring to Hotdogs, Horseshoes, and Hand Grenades? Because that game has AMAZING aiming, so I'm not sure why you'd use the word "even", lol.
I do agree that the aiming in AS feels different somehow... Laser pointers don't belong outside of easy mode (I THINK they're in easy mode, but I haven't played it yet). The game's difficulty would absolutely plummet if laser pointers were added to normal or hard mode, since the aiming goes from being somewhat realistic in difficulty to being insanely simple (play through a level in Brookhaven without the laser, then equip it. It's like you're playing a completely different game).
The mag sizes seem fine. The M1911 has a 7 round mag, the Makarov holds 8, the FiveSeven holds 20, the Glocks hold 15-17ish... It depends on the weapon. The reload is slightly weird at first, but you definitely get used to it.
They should definitely look into the aiming. It could be how the sights are aligned, or the angle of the gun in your hand, but I find myself having to aim higher than I expect.
