Multiplayer doesn't work at all.
Got a friend to buy the game in coop, we tried all options to connect. Connection failes every time. How the hell are you supposed to play this in MP? it just doesn't work. Matchmaking just does nothing, even when we time our joining and inviting friends just fails to connect every time.

This is super frustrating and I'll be advising my friend to refund as coop was our main goal.

That's depressing.

So they're not even working on a fix?

They even denied that there were problems. "Not enough players" is they'r last statement for the so called "issues".

They didnt comment on direct play or Steam invites not working at all.

Hi everyone. Since we just released Skyworld we're taking a fresh look at the network issues with Arizona Sunshine. Matchmaking will receive an overhaul, which should make everything more robust in the process. I don't have a timeline yet on when these changes will arrive but we're hard at work :)

Holy ♥♥♥♥, a developer actually replied regarding this issue months after Vertigo's so called fix, which is guide in the forums lol.. one that does ♥♥♥♥ all and should not need to be done to play a multiplayer game. I still highly recommend not purchasing the game(if you expect to play multiplayer) untill it is addressed with a comment on thier webpage or on steam in some sort of news update.

DAMNIT. Now i cant buy skyworld knowing there could be a multiplayer issue that will never be fixed. I admit it made me sad refunding this game as i rly wanted it.

sucks, looks like it'd be a lot of fun, but after researching all the negative feedback on co-op play, no thanks.

Will be avoiding any game made by the developers until their network problems are fixed, why is anyone going to bother buying new games when you can't even complete your old ones?

Damn, glad i saw these thread, i was just about to buy this game on the Oculus store where it is only £19.99 compared to steams £22.99, but i will hold off until i see what is happening on multiplayer. :(
ReckHavoc Oct 28, 2017 @ 10:39am
It's $19.99 on the Oculus store right now, worth it just for the single player at that price.
Omega Man Oct 28, 2017 @ 6:51pm
^^It's £14.99 on the oculus store on the daily deals right now......if it were on steam at that price i would grab it even with the online issues.

looks like they are having network issues on skyworld also.... I wonder if skyworld will ever be fixed if they cant fix a game this old, lol.

lmao WOOW... somehow i'm really not surprised. They're probably just hoping the community fixes it for them and then try to take credit for it, feels like they're turning into the "hello games" of VR

While building Skyworld we developed a new networking system which we're applying to Arizona Sunshine too. It's a more robust for setting up connections. The networking issues reported for Skyworld were mainly during the first few days because our matchmaking server died a few times, which has been resolved. :)

So now a developer of Vertigo Games admits that there are networking issues that causes these kinds of heavy negative feedback. While i got an email blaming it on not having enough players. When you guys say that Skyworld will have a completly new networking system, i assume that you guys knew about the problems with Arizona Sunshine but released it regardless (also kinda left it).

Sounds to me like Vertigo Games has serious issues with theyr managemend of funds and release dates which falls back to the community. No matter the issues of the developement team..it shouldnt bite the guys spending money on them in hope for a good time with the product.

I´m glad i was able to stirr things a bit up and prevented people from buying it who were interested in the coop experience. I will keep doing so in the future.
