Audio issue - No sounds FX

"...and it's time for me to die."
I start shooting aaaaand... No audio =| Just the atmosphere soundtrack and nothing else.
No people screamings, no gunfire, no footsteps (if there are, i don't know), no nothing.

Any way to fix this or should i wait for a patch?

UPDATE : If i move the Effects settings bar in the Audio menu, i can hear the gunshot.
If i execute somebody, i can hear the talking and the shot.
If i freely shoot, i hear nothing.

Open your Realtek Software. Set your headphones to Stereo. If the thing is on 5.1 for whatever reason the gunshot and other sounds will be lowered like crazy.

So i should play the game on Stereo instead of 7.1? O_o

I figure since I am as well. The sticky about audio does not solve this problem as it's not what we're describing.

Piotr Bąk from Destructive Creations answered my email, telling me that they are aware of this and that they're willing to fix it. But (of course) game breaking bugs are their priority right now.
Anyway, he told me the same thing Ashmore did, and that is to switch the audio settings from 5.1/7.1 to Stereo in the control panel option.

I don't know if i wanna play it stereo or wait for a fix :S

Nope, sadly. I have 5.1 speakers and i hear almost nothing (only ambient), i hear something on executions, but that's all. So i had to play it in stereo

Precisely like the issue i had SIX ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ YEARS AGO. Great ♥♥♥♥ job on the devs' part.

Not fixed. I have 7.1 speakers and I cannot hear a thing in this game. Playing in stereo now...
