An update is qued for me though, so maybe it's a day 1 fix.
Same. Another patch is downloading atm though. :P Here's hopin' it's a fix.
Same here, Phenom II X4 965, GTX 580 1.5gb, 8gb ram, no lag for me either. FPS drops while grenade blows out houses, but nothing to complain about... still is playable, never turned into a slide show, and playing on ultra settings, destruction high, and med AA...
Ever noticed how you see people complaining on the performance of many games are using ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Radeon cards. People are looking at a specific benchmark where the ATi cards perform well when they buy that crap, and expect the card to perform equally well in all other games... so far away from the truth..
For the records, I bought my GTX 580 refurb on ebay when the 680 came out, and I played games maxxed out for a good 2 years, now I'm starting to lower some stuff... but still is a very good card, and perform better than R9 290 in lots of games... like Hatred, pCars, and various other games.
Even games like Dirt: Rally, which is supposed to be an amd gaming evolved game, runs better on nvidia... go figure.
To all whiners... on your next purchase, buy green... and you'll never see red again. You might think that you are buying AMD for the greater good, but you're only allowing them to continue making ♥♥♥♥♥♥ product and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ software... they always have since the very beginning. The very first radeon kicked nvidia ass solidly, but the drivers sucks so much, that you had problems in most games anyway.. I used a radeon until the 9800.. then switched back to nvidia and never looked back. Since my radeon 9800, I only bought two graphic cards... a 8800 gts and this 580 gtx.. .and no problems in what... 10 years?
Continue to buy crap and complain...
Just tried the new update, it's reduced lag by a little bit.
