Is this game fun?

I looked through about 7 pages of idiots posting and didn't find any information about what the gameplay is like. Has anyone actually played this game? What is it like? Is it worth buying? The trailer looked interesting but I would like to know what the actual game is like.

I find it fun, and I'm one of those arseheads who derps around in Crusader Kings 2.

It's stupid fun, it's mindless fun, but boy oh boy is it ever fun.

Great dark Shooter. Fantastic graphic-art-style, nice destructions, cool soundtrack, good gameplay, nice voice-overs, it just rocks! only the problems with the fps are negative, but its playable.

if you like top-down-shooter and want destroy (!) and kill evrything in the game = buy it, play it, like or love it.

Mechanically it's good. Not bad, not excellent, but good. It's biggest strength is definitely the awesome environmental destruction.

It's fun as long as you don't expect the game to be about more than just shooting lot's of people. Oh, and if you are looking for something with a lot of replay-value because you're short on cash, wait till the game goes on sale or gets more content. It's quite short. Otherwise, go for it.

It's a lot of fun. Ignore the overblown "controversy", it's a fun little game. Definitely has the "just one more try" effect to it, especially if you crank up the difficulty, that's where some strategy kicks in.

The controls (mouse + kb) are a little dodgy from time to time, it's easy to get snagged on scenery, especially around doors and when walls have been blown apart, but I can live with that.

The main issue I have, and hopefully it will be balanced out, is on the higher levels (eg army base) it's very easy to get shot off screen, which gets a little tedious. I think offscreen shooters need more tracers in the rounds, so you can find out where it's coming from - especially when there are explosions and fires all around you.

Performance stutters here and there, but I'm running everything on high on a GTX770 and it's very playable.

So all in all, I'm happy with my purchase.

The SJWs blew this thing out of proportion though forcing me and others to just buy it. That's why it became such a good seller.

Well I guess it's fun but it gets repetitive and needlessly hard after a while. The AI also sucks, every line of dialogue is so atrociously edge and poorly written. Violence wise the game is pretty tame actually. The game hasn't a very large variety of weapons. The controls, I have a huge problem with, handling the character is amazingly frustrating to get used to, I tried playing with a controller but found that to be even worse.

The game does look really pretty though.
