Why Did This Game Get Hate?
It looks like a fun little twin stick shooter. How come Hatred got hate? No pun intended.

Whiny little people use "empathy" as a dysfunctional force field. They think that tolerating bulls4it makes them better. They are moronic cowards.

for me, its mainly because postal redux does everything this game does (except for executions and destruction) better. MC? better. Gunplay? better. Violence? postal was the practical creator of violence in video games outside of a few terrible arcade games.

Because it tried to get it, that was literally the point of the whole game, to cause controversy.

On top of the game just being postal but boring.

postal 1's mental illness vibes and art are way better... but come on the actual gameplay in hatred trumps postal by miles

It is a fun twin-stick shooter.
Why? Because people take things too seriously and treat ridiculous things like this game's premise, like some treated violent games years ago.
One would think people moved on since the days of Mortal Kombat 2, Carmageddon, or Soldier of Fortune, but sadly sometimes some people just enjoy a bit of outrage.

It's more boring than annoying. Maybe even a little bit sad, to see flipping over killing some civilians in Hatred, when it's a standard and on a much bigger scale, everywhere.
Everything is so stylized and over the top, that commenting and seriously analyzing this game ought to seem a nonsensical idea. Yet here we are.
