Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes

Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes

Progress lost due to fresh OS installation.
I completed the whole game together with a friend, however, I recently formatted my PC and after downloading and installing KTANE again, all bombs were locked again.

So, if you aren't cloud-saving our progress, would it at least be possible for KTANE to look up our Steam achievements and unlock the corresponding sections?

Hmm, I understand where you're coming from, but unfortunately some other players would actually like to be able to reset progress by deleting their save data. Someone else has posted save data that is fully unlocked: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=533957225

Please remember that this method was provided by another player and is not officially supported. Using their save data may impact your save data in Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes in a way that you don't expect it to. If save data becomes corrupted, you will need to delete the entire contents of the save data folder found at C:\Users\[user name]\AppData\LocalLow\Steel Crate Games\Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes

I'll try this guide out tomorrow. Thanks for the quick reply.

However, my suggestion would still work, if you didn't do this "sync" at every startup, but let the player choose it from the options menu. Something like "Restore unlocked bombs according to Steam achievements".

This is a general problem that I have with many program's sync features. Devellopers try to relieve users of as much work as possible, yet thereby take away their control at the same time. I have never been a fan of automatic syncing. I even lost all of my bookmarks once because of those shenanigans.

Oh, thanks for the clarification, I was initially thinking automatic synchronization. We'll keep this in mind if and when we start to look at Steam Cloud integration...
