Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes

Game renders at ~500 FPS, my GPU is maxed?
I cannot figure out a way to limit the framerate of the game (ideally I could cap it at 60).

My graphics card spins up to maximum and renders at 400-500 FPS according to the Steam FPS overlay. I'd really rather not heat the universe and my card :D

Any ideas? Devs?

With Dxtory, under the advanced tab, there is a fps limit option. That's the only thing I could find that worked.

And from what I could find, you should be fine from VAC

Forgive me for saying so, but not knowing much about that software it looks pretty sketchy.

Owning an AMD card, I tried using the AMD driver (Catalyst Control Center --> Performance --> Maximum Frame Rate), but that also had no effect.

While I can understand that, when I searched around google and youtube, I couldn't find anyone that warned me it was some kind of virus or key logger. But anyway, I hope you find a way.

Thanks, I'll give it another look :)

Maybe I'll email the devs also. Hopefully something easy to fix.

Try using MSI Afterburner and use RivaTuner's framerate limit option or try searching around catalyst for something that forces V-sync. I've never owned an AMD card so I don't know the option

All devs need to learn to add frame rate caps :(

Yea, but I rather have a uncapped game, than one capped at 30.

I actually think this game would probably be fine capped at 30, there's really not a lot of action on screen.

Yea, I'm right around 300fps, but I run NVidia cards, so it doesn't bother me to see that.

It would be playable, but not at all desirable. I prefer the smoothness 60fps gives in any game.

I honestly don't think you'd notice in a game like this, but maybe.

Anyway, it's pretty much the exact opposite of the OP.

Yeah it really needs a customiseable framerate cap so it doesn't overheat anything !
