Where is the save file located?

I too would like to know. I've installed this game on my C: drive, and if I need to re-image it, I don't wan't to have to go through all of the simple levels again.

If you need to make a backup of save data, it can be found at C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\LocalLow\Steel Crate Games\Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes

Please understand that this save data is not for modification. If you modify any of it, you can expect the game to not work correctly and it will make debugging problems very difficult for our support team. Usually the only answer to fixing modified save data is to simply delete all of it and start over, which means loosing all of your game progress.

But it'd be safe to copy it, re-image and copy it back, correct?

Yes, so long as the entire folder is captured and unmodified that will work fine.

Ah, thanks, I guess I should have looked for the company name folder, not the game folder in appdata.

If people are looking for the save files to maintain progress while trying the OSX version (like I was), I successfully placed the save date here:

~/Library/Application Support/com.keeptalkinggame.

I backed up everything in that folder and then replaced it with everything from the PC folder.
Works perfectly!

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\LocalLow\Steel Crate Games\Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes\progression.xml is the save file.
