Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes

Should the experts have access to the game audio?
Because some puzzles like the Genius one have different tones for each button and that can ease things out for the experts... The sequence can be identified without the defuser saying what new color appeared, specially if it repeats the last color (because the sound will be identical). What do you think?

Ideally no, but it doesn't break anything. The disarmer can just as easily identify their own tones and make guesses based on that.

Hi Thor, the game was actually designed to be a local multiplayer game where the Experts can hear the game audio. I think it really increases the stress on the Expert when they can hear the ticking of the bomb and the intensity of the music! :)

But how you play is up to you! I think there is an extra challenge added when the Experts can't hear any of the interactions with the bomb, because they need to rely entirely on what the Defuser is communicating to them.

I agree on both fronts, It's stressful for the expert regardless of whether or not they can hear the bomb's noises. Being able to hear the alarm clock, and knob's noises could help an expert anticipate the needs of the defuser, though.

If you were talking someone through defusing a bomb over the phone, you would be able to hear the noises the bomb was making.

Before when I streamed I used a program called "Virtual Audio Cable" (which isn't free), with it it's possible to setup a system where the people can hear your computer sounds, and you. But not themselves. A word of caution, it takes some know-how to set it up.

If you have a desktop, all you have to do is set up your front panel headers to use your voice chat/headset, and play the game audio through speakers.

If you have a laptop, there're USB sound cards that will allow the same fuctionality.
