need help with 5.2 Computer hacking (some spoilers)

My expert and I are having some issues with the gas vent needy mod.

the set up
4 gas vents needy
1 maze
1 password
1 color code

we get pass the first of which ever that we do, then the needy triggers I have them all vent gas
Most of the time when I do this I explode. My expert looks at the manual and there is no more information that we can dig out on the vents needless to say I am a bit in a pickle.

is it a bug or somthing that I am doing is wrong?
any information on this would be awsome

Sometimes the vent gas button says detonate bomb instead. That might be the issue.
Otherwise try venting them earlier.

The gas venting needy mod will not explode only if when the countdown reaches "00", the computer does NOT display a question. You should respond (with "N") a second before the timeout expires.
Now, for 5.2, it's a lot tougher with 4 of the needy mods. Here's what we did:
Figure out the password and do not solve the puzzle.
Prepare your partner for the maze. Do not solve it yet either.
Complete "Color code" (Simon says) - this triggers the needy mods.
Solve the password you already prepared.
Make your partner guide you through the maze before the needy mods timeout (you have 45 seconds).
